Get Ready for SAFe 4.0

Learn more about the new agile at scale.

If you’ve looked at the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) before and determined it wasn’t right for you, it’s time to look again. SAFe 4.0 just hit the streets and it includes major enhancements to support large-scale software and systems.

We invite you to join us and our partners CA Technologies, Accenture and Kegon for a presentation of SAFe 4.0 with Dean Leffingwell, creator of the Scaled Agile Framework. Learn how the enhanced features—like business value streams, stronger Kanban focus, and practices for managing CapEx and OpEx—can help you better organize around value delivery and improve your development, coordination, and delivery of large scale systems. Hear how to get business benefits that team-level agile alone can’t provide. Understand how the SAFe principles and framework can guide you in successfully scaling agile.

In 2012, James successfully introduced the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as well as Rally within TomTom.  Prior to this, only a few teams had tried Agile, and most development still occurred via waterfall projects.  What started as a Product Unit initiative for 25 scrum teams organically grew into a company-wide adoption across 100+ scrum teams.  Results achieved so far include drastic reduction in time to implement new products and features, as well as a corresponding increase in quality. James managed his first Agile programme in 2006 and has helped evangelise the value and benefits of Agile and lean practices ever since. Prior to his Agile “conversion”, James worked as a Senior Manager at Accenture on a variety of classic waterfall projects including a multi-year project for the U.S. Department of Defense. Finally, James holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Windsor, and a Masters of Engineering from the University of Ottawa.

Deutsche Bahn is currently driving a strategic program. With SAFe the modernization of the logistic processes on the basis of software innovation is getting faster and more effective. Therefore, SAFe has been defined as new standard development process for software development and SAFe is just used being introduced as standard model for portfolio and program process.
